W.J. Doyle opened its doors in late December 2010 and has quickly become one of the local favorites for wine, spirits and our beer selection. Since we opened we have become known for our closeout wine, our build your own 6 packs for beer and our newly added wall of scotch. How did W.J. Doyle get its name though?
Sadly, just over 3 years ago, Molly’s father passed just before the holidays. A gregarious Irishman and loved by all, we thought it was an amazing way to honor his legacy by naming the store after him. Mr Doyle was passionate about his family and friends and always enjoyed drinking and having a good time with them. As most men, he enjoyed beautiful women, sweets (hence the candy dish in the store) and he had the kind of spirit that never got him down. He was an amazing father, friend, and was a kind person to anyone who crossed his path. We try and encompass everything that was Mr. Doyle in our store and hope to continue to honor him for many years to come. Most of all, W.J. Doyle loved corny jokes, if you have some good ones, please be sure to let us know them.
